NEON TETRIS

PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains how Neon Tetris collects, uses, stores, and protects your data when you use the Site. By default, most of your game data stays in your own browser.

DATA WE PROCESS

Most game data is stored locally in your browser and is never uploaded. Data is only transmitted to and stored on our servers when you actively use online features — registering an account, submitting a ranked result, or joining a friend battle.

LOCALLY STORED DATA

The following data lives only in the browser on your device: best scores and recent runs, achievement badges, audio and haptic settings, interface language, and the touch-guide display state. You can delete all of it at any time by clearing your browser data.

ACCOUNT DATA

When you register an online account, we collect the username you choose and store your password only as an irreversible hash — we never store plaintext passwords. Please avoid reusing passwords from other sites.

RUN, REPLAY & BATTLE DATA

When you submit a result to the online ranks, we receive and store that run's data (piece sequence, input sequence, score, lines, time, and similar) for server-side replay verification and ranking. When you create or join a friend battle room, the room code and match data are processed for the duration of the match to enable real-time play and spectating.

COOKIES & BROWSER STORAGE

The Site does not use third-party advertising cookies. We use the browser's localStorage / sessionStorage for the preferences and profile data described above, plus the session credential needed to keep you signed in. With your consent, Microsoft Clarity additionally sets first-party analytics cookies (see the "Microsoft Clarity Analytics" section).

HOW WE USE DATA

We use collected data only to: provide and improve game features; verify and display ranked results; support friend battles and spectating; and keep the service secure, troubleshoot issues, and prevent cheating. We do not use your data for personalized advertising.

SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We do not sell your personal data. Data is only processed or disclosed when providers supplying infrastructure and analytics for the Site (such as cloud servers and databases, and — with your consent — Microsoft Clarity) process it within their service scope, or when required by law. Note that usernames and results shown on the leaderboard are public information.

DATA SECURITY

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password hashing and encrypted transport. That said, no transmission over the internet is absolutely secure, so please keep your account credentials safe.

RETENTION & YOUR RIGHTS

Local data is under your control — clear your browser data to delete it. You may request deletion of your online account and its associated data via the contact channel in the footer; once deleted, ranked results under that username are removed as well. We respond to such requests within a reasonable period.

MINORS, CHANGES & CONTACT

The Site does not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Children under 14 should use the Site with a guardian. We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the "last updated" date on this page when we do. If you have questions about this policy or wish to exercise the rights above, please reach us through the channels linked in the site footer.

MICROSOFT CLARITY ANALYTICS

The Site uses Microsoft Clarity, a user-behavior analytics service provided by Microsoft (clarity.ms), to understand how visitors use the Site — including page views, clicks, and scrolling — and may generate session replays and heatmaps. Clarity sets first-party cookies in your browser (such as _clck, _clsk, and CLID) to identify browsing sessions. We only load Clarity after you accept through the on-page consent banner; if you decline, Clarity is never loaded and no related data is collected. Microsoft processes the collected data under its own privacy statement, available at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
